A feature addition to the Annual Christmas Concert on December 14, 2008 will be stories by
storyteller Karen Ann Chace. Ms. Chace grew up among a large, extended
Irish family in Massachusetts, surrounded by stories and storytellers all of
her life. Since 2000 she has presented and shared her enthusiastic,
interactive, and participatory programs at libraries, conferences and schools
around the country. She is the founder and director of a student
storytelling club in her hometown and produces their Storytelling Festival each
year. She writes a regular column, “Stor e Telling” for Storytelling
Magazine, and is a contributing author to their most recent publications, A
Beginner's Guide to Storytelling and Telling Stories to Children.
Combining her passion for literacy and storytelling Karen believes that stories
can bridge cultures and boundaries and speak to our hearts. Visit Karen's website for more information.
