Leslie Neighbor Stroud, flute, received her bachelor’s degree in
music performance from the Peabody Conservatory of Music where she was a
student of Britton Johnson and Timothy Day. She has also studied with
Lois Schaefer, Walfrid Kujala and Mark Sparks as well as participating in the
master classes of Julius Baker, Bonita Boyd and William Bennet. Leslie
has performed with the Savannah Symphony Orchestra, the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra,
the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra, the San Francisco Concerto Orchestra, the
Civic Orchestra of Chicago, the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra, the Buzzards
Bay Musicfest, the Peabody Wind Quintet, the Bellemore Ensemble of Baltimore,
the Mozart Festival of Alameda, the Trinity Chamber Concerts of California and
the Tri-County Symphonic Band. Leslie has taught at the St. Paul’s School
for Girls (Maryland), the Waldorf School of Baltimore, the Community School for
Music and Arts (California), the Center for Talented Youth at Johns Hopkins
University and as guest faculty at San Jose State University. Leslie
currently lives in Marion, Massachusetts with her husband, son and dog.
Ms. Stroud will appear with the Tri-County Symphonic Band on March 22, 2009 as she performs the "Sonata Latino" by Michael Mower.
