Stephen Wheeler is a composer, arranger, orchestrator, and studio drummer with credits in many different styles. He is particularly interested in work with large ensembles and work in new media including web sites, video, video games, and beyond. Always interested in collaborations. Mr. Wheeler wrote, orchestrated, arranged, and helped perform (mallet percussion) "Subterranean Circus" for the Tri-County Symphonic Band In March of 2008. That work was commissioned by The Somerled Charitable Foundation. Mr. Wheeler graduated Magna cum Laude from the State University of New York College at Purchase Conservatory of Music in 2008 and is now attending the Frost School of Music, University of Miami, Florida, pursuing a degree in Media Writing and Production. He was recently awarded the prestigious ASCAP Foundation Henry Mancini Music Scholarship.
